I am Heather Canada Randall, the founder and current president of First Coast Weddings and Events in Jacksonville, Florida. I have been a member of ABC since 2002, and in 2011, I earned the Master Wedding Planner™ designation. My background includes various positions at hotels, country clubs, wedding venues, and theme parks.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree from Flagler College, where I studied public relations and business administration. In 1999, I started my career as a hotel catering admin and learned everything about the hotel industry and event planning. During that time, I became a NACE member and have been a member since.
Although weddings were not my passion during those early years, I learned how to deal with a variety of budgets, cultures, and religions as I moved into a catering sales role at the same hotel. In 2001, I moved back to North Florida and accepted a position as Catering Director for a local country club. Here, my love for weddings grew while I also handled member events and club holiday parties.
With a strong desire to own my own business, I transitioned again after researching the need for professional wedding planners in the area. 19 years later, First Coast Weddings and Events is a well-respected firm that services weddings and events from Southern Georgia to Central Florida. Our team consists of four lead planners and three assistant planners. I also manage a wedding venue that hosts an average of 60 weddings per year and co-produce four wedding expos per year, each with 100-150 exhibitors.
On a personal note, my favorite flowers are white anemones, and I love visiting the mountains of Colorado. I have a passion for monogramming just about anything that stands still, and I’m slightly obsessed with stainless steel tumblers. In my free time, I enjoy relaxing by the pool, visiting Walt Disney World, and tackling home improvement projects with my husband Chad.

In 2014, I joined forces with family friends as they built and opened a wedding venue. In addition to consulting on general wedding procedures, I handle all the sales and marketing.

In 2008, I was invited to partner with the publisher of Premier Bride Magazine to co-produce 2 wedding expos a year. We now produce 4 shows a year with over 100 vendors per show.
